Rick began his comics career in 1989 at DC Comics, where he has worked continuously for 35 years. A trailblazer in the field of comic art reconstruction, Keene has resurrected and restored thousands of pages of Golden and Silver Age comics for DC’s Archive Editions and Omnibus series, inking and coloring as well as providing both reconstruction work, penciling, inking, coloring, and original art and designs for numerous titles published by Disney Comics and Gemstone. He has also created original artwork for a series of special projects at DC, including lithographs for Batman: The Animated Series and 3D renderings of DC characters for Hasbro’s Total Justice line. Outside the world of super-heroes, Keene has contributed illustrations and essays to a wide range of venues including Van Halen’s official website and Bhob Stewart’s The Life and Legend of Wallace Wood. He is also the writer, illustrator, and publisher of the ongoing comic book adventures of his own original character, Willy Weasely.
